The Paris Agreement reached in December last year represents a major milestone in international action to address the challenge of climate change. It is also the culmination of a 20-year process that has tested the limits of what can and cannot be done with international agreements in the early 21st Century. This talk explores how Paris has transformed the approach to collective international efforts, and what will determine its future success.
